Postgraduate Programmes

The Department of Industrial Management- a premier institution in ICT education offers two post graduate programmes for highly energetic, motivated individuals with commanding desire to excel in IT and Management discipline. The two postgraduate programmes, MSc in Management Information Technology (MSc in MIT) and Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGD in IT) are designed to meet the career specific goals in management competencies blended with the need to exploit the new opportunities and developments in computer and Information Technology.

MSc in MIT is a postgraduate Programme that specifically addresses the need of providing opportunities for the graduates in Science, Engineering, Management and Commerce who are aiming at the Senior and executive level management in the contemporary management and ICT arena. This Masters programme will provide an excellent opportunity for those graduates to specialize in Management and Information Technology discipline and enhance their representation in the middle management which requires a strong IT background.

PGD in IT is primarily designed to develop a high level of competence in computer and information technology for those who are searching opportunities in the booming IT sector. The postgraduate programme is designed in such a manner that those graduates who start with a basic understanding of computing will be able to impart skills in computing and Information Technology best suited for the requirement s of the growing IT industry. We aim to make them competent enough to face the challenges of modern Information Technology environment in their professional career.

The programmes conducted by the Department of Industrial Management are conducted by a Faculty of lecturers who are highly qualified in Management and Information Technology locally and overseas. The faculty is supplemented by visiting lecturers of outstanding professional standing and well experienced Senior Lecturers from Universities with reputation for excellence. The programmes are conducted in the English medium and provides for a special learning experience through interactive study in teams, in addition to formal lectures, projects, workshops and a choice of credits for research/business project. Classes will be conducted during weekends.
