At the end of this course, the student in non-physical science streams will acquire the basic mathematical concepts required for the undergraduate studies and further studies as well.
 Set theory, Product sets, Relations, Functions and Graphs, Finite series, Binomial theorem, Exponential, Trigonometric and logarithmic functions, Limits, Continuity, Differential calculus, Maxima and minima, Indeterminate forms, Integral calculus, Methods of integration, Improper integrals, Vectors, Matrices, Linear equations, Determinants of order two and three, Taylor's formula, Newton's method, Ordinary differential equations.
A combination of lectures and tutorial discussions.
 Based on tutorials, tests and end of course examination.
