Research Methods

On completion of this course, the student should be able to:

  • Demonstrate a grasp of the conceptual framework necessary to formulate and conduct a research.
  • Prepare a detailed research proposal.
  • Perform research design, data gathering, analysis and presentation of conclusions and recommendations.

Some reflections on the theory of evolution of knowledge, Inductive and deductive methods in research, Research design: identifying issues and problems, defining research problem(s) and objectives. Identifying data requirements, sources, and instruments for data gathering.

Lectures, interactive classroom sessions and case analysis.
End of course unit examination and case study presentations.
